10 Minute workouts you can do without leaving the house

There are so many excuses I can find for not working out.

"I don't have time."

"I can't afford to go to a gym."

"It's raining/the weather is bad." 

"I don't have the right equipment."

"Working out is boring."

I have scoured the likes of youtube to find workouts you can do at home, in 10 minutes, for free, with no equipment (maybe a chair or bench but I bet you have them.) So there are NO excuses for not working out.

Barre is a super workout! Combining the likes of yoga, pilates and ballet, it is well known for it's effectiveness in creating long lean muscles, toning the body and increasing flexibility. The best part is that it is fun! You will feel like your a child again back in the days where you did ballet classes!

In under 10 minutes you can do a great workout and all you need is a chair or a bench. Winning!

Another Barre class in ten minutes, but this one concentrates on the abdominals. Which is arguably the spot we al want to improve a bit. Try out this ab workout and get on your way to chiseled VS Angel abs (we can all dream can't we?)

Yoga Flow

Yoga is an amazing and relaxing workout for the body, ok well it's not really a workout but it is great for relaxing the mind and body. If you don't have time to attend a 90 minute yoga class in the morning then you can try out this ten minute vinyasa flow instead, easy enough for beginners. You might feel like the most inflexible person in the world at first but keep it up and you will see improvements. 

You can wake up 10 minutes earlier in the morning and squeeze in some vinyasa flow before a photoshoot to help warm up the joints and settle the mind ready for a big day of shooting.

Dance Workout

In under 10 minutes you can complete a fun dance routine workout for those of us who don't like traditional workouts. You will forget that you are working out. Put a bit of music on and really get into it! Invite a girlfriend over and do it together before a night out to get you pumped.

7 Minutes of dancing to tone the abs? Umm yes please! It really doesn't get much easier. 

Choose one of these workouts to kickstart your metabolism or watch them both for a workout designed to get you sweating for under 20 minutes!

Sexy Dance Workouts

For the ladies (or guys) out there who consider themselves a bit of a diva, here are a few sexy dance style workouts. All under ten minutes. 

Channel your inner showgirl and try out these burlesque style workouts. Ditch your sweatpants and runners for some heels and an outfit to make you feel sassy. Then set aside 10 minutes and let out your inner goddess.

If it's good enough for Bey, it's good enough for me. Pop on your favourite Beyonce tune and then channel your inner diva for a fun dance workout. You won't even feel like you are working out!
